About Backrooms
This browser horror game uses faded wallpaper, empty passages, and fluorescent lighting to make orientation difficult. Similar-looking corners can lead you back into an area you have already crossed.
The game does not provide a weapon-based solution. When danger enters the route, creating distance matters more than staying in place to inspect it.
How to Play Backrooms
Use WASD or the arrow keys to move and the mouse to look around. Search connected sections of the maze, noting a distinctive wall mark or room shape before taking another turn.
Keep unexplored branches separate from the route you used to arrive. When you reach a dead end, return to the last useful junction instead of repeatedly checking the same space.
Listen for movement around you and leave an approach when a threat appears. Remembering an open return route gives you a practical escape option even when the next corridor looks unfamiliar.
